Problem with shared workbook (history sheet)

My colleagues and I have been working in a shared workbook for weeks. Each
day we add a new spreadsheet, rename it with the day's date, and make
comments. The file is set to highlight changes by other users on the screen
when you save your changes (not set to list changes on a new sheet, i.e.,
history sheet). No changes have been made to these settings. When I went to
insert a new worksheet today and rename it with today's date, a box popped up
that says "History sheet cannot be renamed." Why is this happening? We
haven't had any trouble up until today. Would it have anything to do with
the size of the file? I have had this happen before with a different
workbook. I added one sheet that could not be renamed. When I added a
second sheet, the first one disappeared and I was able to rename the second,
but then we had problems sharing the file and saving data at the same time.
Things were saving on the wrong tab of the workbook and overwriting other
data, thus I'm hesitant to attempt the same fix with this workbook. Thanks
for your help!

Hi
not a solution bt shared workbooks are IMHO known for such bus. I think this
feature is just not stable in Excel!

We've had a lot of problems here too, with a shared workbook. I have a
workbook with about 30 tabs in it (file is about 4 megs-not that large) and
I've sat and watched tabs just "disappear" during the saving process. I
agree with Frank's post that the shared function is extremely unstable.
