Please help! I cannot send outgoing mail messages. I
use Outlook Express 6.0. I've tried many different
things on the advice from Dell experts, etc., e.g.
reinstalling Outlook Express, deleting the mcvsescm.exe
file and reinstalling it with a patch from the McAfee
site, changing settings in the Tool bar, and then back
again, allowing attachments to show, making sure that I
do not send out mail with attachments, etc.--all to
naught. The typical error message I get is like the one
below, all with the same Server Error of 550 and the same
Error Number of 0x800CCC79:
The message could not be sent because one of the
recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-
mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject 'Re: Wash
with care', Account: 'arts.uob.bh',
Server: 'arts.uob.bh', Protocol: SMTP, Server
Response: '550 not local host entergy.com, not a
gateway', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550,
Error Number: 0x800CCC79
Please help, for this has been going on for a month now.
I even tried contacting Microsoft at their phone number 1-
800-936-5700 but all I get is an attempt to connect me
with someone who is never there and an answering machine.
