problem with Search Assistant

Did you check "Change Preferences", that's where "with an animated screen
character" can be found.

I've just reinstalled XP but for some reason the "Rover" Search Assistant
isn't there; instead I just get a bland white search toolbar. And I can't
find any "Enable Search Assistant" option Also, if I DO use this search
toolbar it keeps searching even when I click "Stop search". It pauses for a
bout 5 seconds and then carries on searching.

Does Office/Word need to be installed before SA will appear? I've tried
every available tweak (from Kelly's korner and TweakXP.com) with no luck

posted other questions with the correct date, therefore you must have
altered it deliberately for this question. That's the very height of
rudeness and will *NOT* be tolerated. You are in the UK and I am in the UK
and it's 19:25 here - not 01:25 tomorrow morning.
