Problem with recycle bin

Hi. I've recently noticed that my recycle bin, shows that there's items in
it. But there isn't, how do I fix this problem? I think it may've happened
after installing Tune up utilities 2009, but not sure. I'm using XP. Please
use step by step instuctions, to fix this.

I use CCleaner's cleanup which fixes that problem.

Thx for that, but it didn't work for me. Can you suggest something else, if
possible?

Ju.c thx, but none of the dos stuff worked. When I went to the website you
suggested, it just came up with a notepad file, and I'm unsure how to merge
it to the registry. Sorry for my ignorance. I'm unfamiliar with using the
registry. I'm also sorry for the inconvenience.

To merge a .reg file into the registry just double-click it or right-click it
and select "Merge".

I don't know how you ended up with the file ending with .txt but just
change it to .reg.

If the commands did not not work then another program is at fault,
uninstall it or you'll just have to live with it.

Ok, sorry I forgot to tell you, that I was using Firefox not IE7. That was
probably why a text file came up. I did it again using IE7 and it worked. I
did it twice, after the first time, I forgot to reboot, will that make any
difference? Thx again, I'll remember to come back here, if I have anymore
problems.
