Hi

Can you help. I have been asked by a friend to set up an
email account, on my laptop. All I had to do was follow
some instructions & then when I emailed my friend, his
account would be active.

The email address for my friend is
(e-mail address removed).

The email server is POP3. The servers for receiving &
sending emails is mail.brasstuition.co.uk

The username is pop.tony.roberts & I have also put in the
password.

In the box headed "My server requires authentification" I
have ticked it.

When I had set all of this up, I then sent a test email
to the tony.roberston email address. But I am getting a
mail delivery error message and the emails are coming
back to me, not going to Tony.

What have I done wrong?

Cheers
Sheron

Untick "requires authentication" almost no one uses that setting. More importantly, why do you have to set up his email? Your laptop settings have nothing to do with his email. Just send him an email to his address through your own acct.

Hi

I have now sent him an email. I am now getting a Mail
delivery error message.

What does this mean?

What does the error message say you have done wrong?

Probably because you set up your computer with his email settings. Reset your own email accounts, delete the incorrect acct and let him figure out his own setup.
