In another futile attempt at getting a driver to work for my C-media sound
device, I appearantly did something that has blocked my access to the Local
Settings file. This mostly just occurs when trying to load Outlook; when I
double click on the shortcut, I receive this message...
Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. File access is denied. You do not have the
permission required to access the file C:\Documents and
Settings\(myname)\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst.
Can someone help by telling me what I need to do to fix this and return my
system to normalcy? Also, any ideas on how to get C-media garbarge to work?
I haven't had sound for over six months now and get nowhere with that good
for nothing company's website.
