Recently my Windows NT 4.0 SP6.0 went down. Motherboard went bad. So I had
to buy a new computer. It is a Windows XP SP2. I reloaded the MS office
2000 that the Access 2000 program was on. Just to back track a little, the
original computer (WinNT) was a client computer on a network. The database
was saved on the server. Now that I have the new computer (WinXP) on the
network the database does not recognize the permissions for the owner. I
loaded the new computer onto the network with the same user name and password
and IP address. But when I run the switchboard I created, the message comes
back stating that you don't have permission to read database. So I can't run
the database program. What can I do to resolve this issue?
