Problem with network after converting to NTFS in Win XP Home

Can anyone help me with a problem I am encountering? I converted my son's
computer to NTFS and all seemed to go well. Except for the fact that the
network is basically toast! I have a three system network and after the
conversion, I cannot access anything from either system. I tried to run
network setup, but that failed to do anything.

I did check to see if he could print using the printer connected to the
network and that was no problem, so what's with the file access? The error
message reads as follows:

***** is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permissions.

Access is denied

Since I am the administrator, what do I do now?

Thanks for the assistance.....

Gerry

Are other computers on you network NTFS. NTFS file systems can write and read
to FAT drives but, Fat drives can not read or write to NTFS drives.

When accessing another computer's shared disk over a network, it makes
no difference what file system (or what version of Windows) either
computer is running. The computer that owns the shared disk knows how
to read its disk and send the contents to another computer.

For example, a computer running Windows 98 on a FAT32 file system can
access an NTFS disk belonging to a Windows XP system.
