Problem with net links

Something weird just started happening on my system (XP Pro). When I click
on a link, be it in an e-mail or on a webpage, the site shows itself on my
taskbar, but the page never opens...it just freezes. I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del
to close the page.
This just started yesterday. I did not install anything new, and have no
idea what is going on. Anyone have any ideas?

Spyware and/or viruses can cause this. Scan with current av using
updated definitions and remove spyware with tools such as Spybot S&D
and/or Ad-aware. If machine is clean, check Kelly's Korner for a
