Greetings!

2. Before i changed to a new user, and erased the old user, if i clicked
directly on a music file, it would automatically play in Winamp or WMP
(whatever i had set). Now, if i click directly on the file i get an error
pop-up from windows that says i.e. "D:\Music\RockandRoll\Michael Jackson -
Im Bad is not a valid Win32 application" However, I have no problem opening
a music playing program first (i.e. WMP) and bringing the files in.

Anyone know why?

I much appreciate all you help!

Andy

Some of the settings (and IMHO in XP things have been made excessively
complex in this area - especially with WMP 9 or 10) are in the
individual user's branch of the registry. So you need to load up WMP
and Winamp, and use their Options for File Types to set up the
associations again, making sure you do it *only* for the file types you
want to load to each program by default. I would do WMP first, WinAmp
second,

Thanks Alex
