hello,
we face a problem with microsoft excel 2000 under terminal
server.a worksheet is shared for more than one users.
When we are working in a worksheet most of the time is
freezing or it cannot open.In event viewer does not appear
any error.when 2 users are working in the same worksheet
only in the one user appears the changes which has done,
in the other user does not appear. when i copy a sheet
which is freezed in an other sheet is working normal but
the old sheet still has the problem. if the sheet is
unshared seems to work ok. the only thing that a have seen
as a problem is that the user has too many sessions open.
(that the user has open 5 times the same file).
that's my problem.
Thanks!

CA,

As far as I know, Excel is not truly multi-user. Changes do not appear in
other user's open workbooks, even when you're using a shared workbook a
local network (as opposed to Terminal Server). Sharing a workbook allows
multiple users to open the same workbook. But each is updating his own open
copy. The file must be saved in order to get a user's changes written to
the workbook on disk (on the server). At that time, if two users have
changed the same cell to different data, a message is posted, and the user
must decide which change should be accepted.

That's my story, but I might not stick to it. :)

You might want to search the knowledge base at microsoft.com to see what
issues are known about using Excel with Terminal Server.
