I've had the mouse for 2 months with no trouble. I now fails to move the
pointer. The software show good power on the battery and the signal is good
too. I use the mouse on a laptop with WinXP, and connected through a USB.

Any help?

Hi

I have to ask this how many USB ports does the desktop have? Now have you
tried all the ports with the mouse. Have you gone into the Device Manager
and check the USB controllers to see if there is a problem there.

Start / Control Panel / System / Hardware / Device Manager

There should be a small hole on the underside of the mouse to gain access to
the "connect" switch. A ball point pen or end of paper clip inserted
through the hole usually does the trick.

Why do you think the number of ports matter? The limit is 127 air for 1.1,
it is unlikely to have been exceeded.

My cable connected intellimouse doesnt have this switch.
I have seen them on cordless mice, but there's nothing here to say it is
cordless.
