When I went to start up Outlook 2003, I got a message that my PST file was
not closed properly last time. Outlook went through it's process. Now, my
PST file is 823MB, even though when I do a folder size on it within outlook,
it says the PST file shou be about 10MB.

Does anyone have some suggestions?

Are you checking the .pst file size from the root of your personal folders?
If you search your hard drive for the .pst file, what does Windows report as
the file size?

I ran the compacting feature from within Outlook. From within Outlook, it
reports my PST file size as 6MB.

If I close Outlook and then manually navigate to my PST at:
C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

From there, my PST file has a size of 9MB. Is this something I should worry
about? (Other then file size which is no biggie)

THX, Nicholas
