Hi,

After turning on my computer this morning, I had a system error appear:

"Problem with generic host process for Win32 services"

I sent the report to Microsft, then I noticed in Ad-Aware: "Registry
modification detected. Root:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"

Not really sure what this means, but I don't like the idea of my registry
being modified!

I'd appreciate any help

Put together this indicates you have some parasitic malware that is
trying to get support from GHP (svchost) and is making a bad job of it.

Go to
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm
and use the tools suggested and linked

No virus found, but after following all of the advice given, the error
message has gone and there's no event log in Ad-aware.

Thanks
