problem with file usbochi.sys

i am trying to upgrade to winXP it is telling me that the
file usbohci.sys is corrupt. how do i fix this file? what
is that file for? please help if you can.

The file is the USB open host controller interface for miniport. I
can only guess that you have a USB device installed on your system
that needs this file. Since the file is corrupt, the best way to
repair it is to reinstall the USB device and its software.
