I have a Sharp Digital Viewcam and I just took a 50min
video at our family party. The program that captures the
video, on to my computer, is made by Pinnacle (studio 8).
The amount of time that can be downloaded is a maximum of
17mim-53sec. Pinnacle support tells me that that is because
my Windows XP settings have to be changed so a larger file
can be downloaded and this is an issue with older XPs. He
said that the newer ones have this change made. He told me
to contact Microsoft because he can't help me since this is
a Windows XP problem.

Thank You
Ray

Dunno if thats true, the only change I can think of that might apply is
Service Pack 1. have you been using Windows Update to keep up to date with
bug fixes? If not, you should just to close some of the numerous loopholes
in Windows security.
Another thought, maybe you should be using the NTFS file system to get
bigger files or disks (I believe there isa 32Gb disk size limitation with
FAT32)? Is your XP using FAT32 or NTFS? (Go to 'My Computer', right click on
a disk and select 'properties'.) I'm not sure if you can convert 'in situ',
but I think you can.

BTW, dont just go ahead and change it if this is the case, check there wont
be other issues you'd get, such as maybe some other applications you use not
working on NTFS.
