Problem with Desktop Background

Hosh

This is strange.

Suddenly, when I attempt to change the image on my desktop, instead of
having the normal choice of Windows XP images (Tulips, Bliss, Zapotec,
etc.), my choices are just about EVERY photo and image on my computer. What
happened here?! Naturally, now when I attempt to change the picture, it
takes forever to populate the list because it is trying to display so many
images.
What do I do? I assume some registry change, right?
Any help would be so great!
Ed

Thanks for the reply and the link.
I'm not exactly sure how to implement the change, or how it got changed in
the first place.
Before this happened, I had a choice of maybe 20 images. Now it's hundreds.
The 58 image cap is not in place here.

Thanks again.

Hi Ed,

The 58 image limit is not the standard limit anyway, and I'm not sure how Windows determines the limit. Until you find a solid answer, the workaround is to move the image files (from the folders described in the URL provided earlier.) to some other location.
