Problem with default dictionery in MS Word

Do you know how to change the default dictionery in MS Word. Every time I try
and change it from Italy to English (Australian) it won't save it and reverts
back to Italian Dictionery. Any ideas toi overcome this bug? I am sure that I
am doing this properly
