problem with component services

i go to start and then run. put dcomcnfg in the run box and component
services comes up. under console root i double click on component
services and computers folder appears under component services. i
double click on computers and the whole program just disappears.
running winxp pro with sp1. any ideas? thanks,

I have DCOM disabled and it acts just the way you describe.

So you may have DCOM disabled.

Go here and UNDO the steps that are mentioned...
