Problem with Ampersand (&)

Hello All,

I am trying to create keyboard shortcuts for my switchboard by using the
ampersand symbol in front the character I desire as a hot key. Instead of
converting this into the appropriate shortcut, the actual & is showing up on
my switchboard. I am running Access 2007. Any one have any suggestions here.
I am really in a jam.

You might find better help posting to one of the Access groups rather than
Outlook.

But, the only reason why I would think this would happen is if you were
trying to make a & the hotkey, since && would actually put a &.
 
Is there anything about Outlook in your question? You may be better
served in one of the many Access newsgroups.
