Dear Windows professionals, i need help!

I have a Config, where the W2K domain controllers are connected over a
VPN tunnel.
Last wednesday due to work on the electricity network, i had to
shutdown one side of the network. (3 w2K-server)

So here is me first problem:

It sometimes occures, that the W2K Server has a completely wrong clock
setting after a reboot.
So happend yesterday, the clock was set at April 8th 2003, when i
bootet the system after the electricians had their work finished.

I have configured the server to syncronize with one ntp-server over
the internet, but that didn´t work (The ntp server was pingable)

so i set the clock manually...which leads to my second problem:

When i had set the clock back to the correct time, i could not connect
from other two w2k servers (at the same location)

The error message is:" Logon failure: the target account name is
incorrect"

Now With the servers in the same location it is working again (i don´t
know why), but with the one connected over the vpn tunnel it is still
not possible to connect. Also a reboot of the VPN-Connected server did
not solve the problem.

By searching for the reason for this error i found a third problem:

I thougt that the name resolution of the server could be responsible
for this error. So i tried a reverse dns request for the VPN-Connected
server.

The VPN-Connected server could be resolved by sending the request
directly from the server with has the DNS Server running.
But: When i tried to resolve the name over the VPN connection against
the same DNS server i get a "non existent domain" error???

Again: the request is sent to one dns server, but from different
locations!

Please, i really need help!

Try looking at KB 830069 - You receive the "The target principal name is
incorrect" error message when you try to start Active Directory Users and
Computers in Windows 2000

The secure channel can easily get out of sync if the times on DC's change the
way you said....
