Problem with accessing secure pages with Interent Exp

Can anyone help me - this is driving me nuts - I am using winxp and Internet
Exlp 6 - I can access the home page of banks but then I am am unable to get
to the 'secure page' - I have changed the security settings but to no
avail - has anyelse had this problem with winxp and Interent Explorer - my
other computer running Win 2000 and the same ISP presetn no probs.
If anyone is able to give me some idea what is going wrong I will be
eternally grateful,

In Internet Explorer -
1. Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
2. Scroll down to the Security Settings.
3. Make sure that the two boxes are checked that say
"Enable SSL 2" or "Enable SSL 3".
Try your secure sites.

Another thing you can try is:

Go to start/run
Type in: regsvr32 softpub.dll

I have been facing the same problem for several months
and--like you--am going crazy. I have had computer techs
look at my computer and have asked everyone I can think
of what could be wrong and no one can seem to figure it
out. If you find out, PLEASE let me know too.
