Please forgive my ignorance in not knowing what the real name of the problem
is but I cannot for the life of me remember what process 1 press of
<Ctrl-Alt-Del> begins!!!

Its the one where you get a list of processes that are either 'Running' or
'Not Responding' and you are able to 'Switch Task' to get you out of trouble
if the machine freezes.

Well...

When I do the single press I get the list but at the top of the opening
window there used to be 4 tabs where you could see further info. The one I
am interested in showed which processes were using up what percentage of the
processor time.

These tabs have just disappeared from the window

Any ideas how I may have closed them or more importantly how I can get them
back

Thanks in advance

Sorry meant to add the minimize - maximize and close icons have gone too!

Mike,

Double click anywhere on the border and your tabs should return.
By the way, its called the Task Manager. :-)

Mike

Double click the gray border around Task Manager and the tabs will return.

You're running Task Manager in small footprint mode. Just double-click
on the border of the window and it should be restore to its old self.
Thanks in advance

Thanks guys

Greetings --

You're running Task Manager in "Small Footprint Mode." Simply
double-click anywhere along the top or side borders to return to a
normal view. Alternatively, pressing <Ctrl>+<Tab> will allow you to
cycle between the various displays, and <Alt>+<F4> will close it.

Mike;

Nah!!!!

Some posters referred to it, as does M$, as the "small footprint mode". I
prefer to call it the "let's really mess with the user mode". :-)
