problem when starting word

When i click on a word document to open it, the program opens but before i
can get to the document windows installer comes on telling me it is preparing
to install. After a few minutes i get the following error message from
Microsoft Office Word 12.0:
An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning properly.
Please run Setup and selelct "repair..." to restore this application."

When i click on the ok box within the error message then the file opens
normally. Wehn i went to try and run setup and select repair it would not
accept my 2007 disk. This is very frustrating....is there anyone out there
that can help me!! Please....PLEASE!!!!!!!!
 
Start with your 2007 disc and run setup from there to repair the
installation.
