Problem w/ MBR?

Hi guys, having a problem during boot: I have my WinXP installed on my C
partition. I made a new partition to install the Vista beta (G partition).
Well, at some point my G partition was currupted, and totally lost. I wasn't
being very carefull w/ it, like I am w/ C. Anyhow, I figured to hell w/ it,
and deleted G.

Anyway, when I start up, it still asks me what OS I want to boot (even tho I
only have one). Legacy (where I can load XP), or Windows (Vista). Well,
being that Vista is no longer installed, I have to choose Legacy, and select
XP. This is annoying. Is this an issue in the MBR? All I currently have is
XP installed. How can I remove these option at startup? Thanks!

I thought that the Vista 'boot.ini' was different, don't you need to use
something like vistabootpro?
When I went through this, the advice I got was to download vistabootpro in
XP Pro, then run it and select XP Pro as the default os, then delte the Vista
partition and all was sweet, one OS, no dual boot menu at boot up.
Cheers Peter.

hmmm - you may be right. Vista 5342 appeared in boot.ini, but 5365 does
not. Not familiar with vistabootpro, but bcdedit would probably work.
