problem using windows 98 second edition

i am having trouble connecting to my work computer which
has a windows 2000 server i am coming in from the internet
via vpn i get to the server but get second connect screen
which i have to again enter my password and blank out the
server sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't would
appreciate any help
 
Are you VPNing into the server or some other device? When it fails, what error do you get? Is there an error logged in the
server event logs? Verify that the VPN server only points at a DNS server that is hosting the AD domain name. This will prevent
it from potentially looking at the wrong DNS server during the authentication.
