Hello

I've been dealing with this for quite a while and I don't know what to do. I have never been able to start Outlook.

When I double click the Microsoft Outlook icon on my desktop, a window comes up that says, "You can connect to the server using the network, or work offline, or cancel this logon."

If I click "Connect" a window comes up after a while that says, "Your Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable.

I'm using a DSL connection, my OS is Windows XP Professional, and I'm using Microsoft Office XP.

What is the Microsoft Exchange Server and how can I change it? Any information you can give me on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much

Steve

If you go to your control panel and double click on the mail icon (or right
click on your outlook icon on your desktop) Click on show profiles / remove
the profile and create a new one. OR you can select your current profile and
select properties / e-mail accounts / view or change existing e-mail
accounts / select your account and click on change and in there you should
be able to change it from exchange server to what you need. I would just
remove the old profile and create a new one.

Exchange Server is a server that holds all mail accounts one a server. This
is mainly for business with a lot of e-mail accounts.

I hope this helps
