Hi! I have a very strange problem with outlook 2003 on win 2000. When I try to send a mail, the mail goes in the outbox but then it remain there and it is not sent. the only way to send the mail is to close and re-open outlook (it works often but not always). The strange thing is that I have 5 different accounts, and only with one of them I have this problem. The settings are right because I have tryied on another pc with the same settings and all works.

I have tryied to delete and re-set the account. I have tryied to reinstall office and to install all the updates, but the problem doesn't disappear...

I hope someone can help me.

thank you very much to all

Paolo

What version of Outlook? What type of mail account?

When you view the send/receive progress, are there any errors? If there are,
please post the error verbatim. Thank you.

Hi guys,

I have a nearly identical problem. Outlook 2003, V11.5608.5606 running on
XP SP2. I cannot send & receive. The progress window opens up, but there is
no activity on my DSL modem. In fact Outlook does not even seem to try to
connect - if I unplug my DSL line I do not get a warning message. It is not
an e-mail account setting - I run the same accoiunt on two other PCs, and
both work fine. I have uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled. I have deleted
my e-mail accounts, and reset them. (I have all my ISP details to do so) No
luck. I have installed OutlookExpress to test, and it works fine on this
machine. My internet explorer works fine. I have cleaned my registry,
deleted all e-mail folders, etc. Still no luck.

Rule #1 - check the physical
Rule # 2 - See rule #1
Rule #3 - check your security software

Thanks - but no-go!

@Rule #1/2 - Physical must surely be good - as I mentioned I can get
OutlookExpress working fine on the machine where Outlook (proper) will not!
@Rule #3 - I did try disabling my firewalls, and shutting my anti-virus
(Trend) down altogether - still no-go.

I tried installing XP SP3 (just in case) last night - still no go!

Hi, the only error in the App Event Viewer related to Outlook is as follows,
for 06Jul08:-

"Faulting application outlook.exe vers 11.0.8602.0 stamp 479fce0d faulting
module outlib.dll 11.0.8206 stamp 47a0f291 debug? 0, fault address 0x0035be72"

I followed the hyperlink to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp which
simply said "Sorry, no additional info on this error...".

Any clues?

Has this been since a Microsoft patch or we seem to be receiving the same
thing running a box with Symantec Antivirus 11 MR1 and MR2. No one wants to
put on MR3 due to all the issues of MR3 yet.
