Problem securing backend database?

Steve

I have a split database. I learned how to apply user level security this
weekend. It is working fine on the front end but I took both files to my
work computer and can open the backend without joining the workgroup I
thought I had assigned.

If I want to view the front end I have to join a workgroup I created. I ran
the security wizzard while I was a member of the security group on the
backend and choose to modify my existing workgroup. I went through the
wizzard and made sure that afterwards the Admin account was assigned only to
users and that the Users group had no rights.

I don't get it? What do I have to do to use the same security for the front
and backend?

TIA
Steve

I suggest you start by reading
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];207793

You missed something so go over it step by step. Likely you forgot to
eliminate the admin account. (careful, use a copy and make sure you delete
the right account.

Practice on some copies to make sure you know what you are doing.
