I have a PC running widows XP with two hard drives. The C; Drive failed and
I reinstalled the OS. The second disk was not visible, so I went into disk
manager and accidentally selected "convert to dynamic", instead of "import
foreign disk". The drive is still unseen by the system. Is there a way to
retrieve the data from the disk in this situation?

Open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer). Make sure the address bar is
shown at the top. Right click the tool bar and select Address if it's not
there. Type E:/, where "E" is the drive letter, in the address bar. The
drive will then be visible and you can use Explorer to retrieve the
contents.

There is no drive letter. Disk management, under computer management, shows
the drive space as basic, and unallocated.

I solved the problem. I found out that one of my assistants accidentally
deleted the partition on the second drive. Found an inexpensive tool
called. Active Partition Recovery that will undelete a partition. It saved
my neck.
