Problem printing comments

When I go to page setup to print comments the print comments pull down
menu is greyed out and cannot be selected (see attached screen shot)
... any idea why?

If you're previewing the worksheet, and click the Setup button, the
Comments option isn't available.
Instead, from the worksheet, choose File>Page Setup, and you'll be able
to change the Comments option on the Sheet tab.

Thanks that fixed it ... now why the hell would it do that, why isn't
the option available when print previewing? What is the difference?
