Problem modifying .jpg object colour

I am trying to apply a new colour (for printing) to a line drawing which I
received as a .jpg file. What MS Office software should I use?

Microsoft Photo Editor might work if it got installed in whatever
unmentioned version of MS Office that you have installed. Even MS Paint
will open .jpg files. IrfanView or XnView might be better. There's a

Which version of MS Office are you running?

Microsoft Photo Editor has been discontinued as a Microsoft Office component in
Office 2003. A new component in Office 2003 is Microsoft Picture Manager 2003.
While Picture Manager 2003 is not primarily an image editor as was Photo Editor,
it does have some image correction and editing features including changing
colors.

Alternatively, in Word you can Insert>Picture>From file and edit there.
