I use Windows XP..just recently whenever I attempt to install any programs I
get the error message: The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and
Microsoft Windows applications.
I checked out the link for this error but it is for Windows 2000.
Please help..
Thanks and God Bless,
Jana Morris

Hi Ricky,
Thanks for the link, however I don't know which CD I am to use. My computer
came with XP installed on it.
This is a new problem..I have never had problems installing programs before.
I've had this same computer and OS for four years.
Appreciate further help..
Jana

Jana,

C:\Windows\Repair folder maintains a copy of Autoexec.NT and Config.NT. You may also copy them to the Windows\System32 folder.
