I posted this June 1 but got no responses. I am trying once more. Thanks.

Currently using windows XP and Office Basic 2003

I recently transferred several programs from my old computer (which was
using windows98)to my new computer which is using XP. In trying to install
my old Works Suites from the two
discs provided with my original computer, some things appear to be missing.
For instance, there used to be a section under Tasks entitled "Letters &
Labels". This section is not there now. It has a Tasks section but no
longer has this Letters and Labels section there. Does this have anything to
do with
interacting with windows XP? I used this section a lot with letter,
envelopes, labels, etc. and would like to get it back. Any ideas? Should I
try to uninstall and reinstall again or might I have missed some step in
that procedure? Thanks.

First - Patience must be used. 2 Days and no repsonse.. Wait a week, then
start to be concerned.

Second - This is only one newsgroup and its main concern is "new users'< not
just works. You may want to repeat your post in the newsgroup devoted to
the product for which you are having trouble:
microsoft.public.works.win

Also, you did not point out what version of Works you were attempting to
use.

You should also do a google search for what you are seeing (or not seeing as
the case may be) and see what that comes up with. It may be that you need
to install some optional component.

As for you reinstalling the application, that might help - be sure to use
the CUSTOM installation and look through every option (better yet - just
CHOOSE every option manually and install everything.)
