Problem in my system, need help

Recently I tried to install a game I used to play which
ran on msdos but it failed and now everytime I go to open
a program, cmd.exe comes up and the program fails to
start. How do i get my computer to work normaly again?

Jeez... what was it... a game called "Virus"?

Can you do a System Restore? Will *that* run? Just restore to the day
*before* you tried the old game.
If it doesn't work, try it from Safe Mode.

If that doesn't work. Do a Repair installation - not a re-installation...
but a repair installation.
