problem erasing weblinks

Jonathan

I have been having this problem for awhile now on my
labtop. I have a Windows 2000 operating system on it. I
use my AOL account to view webpages, but they appear on
the Internet Explorer address bar when I go to it. You
would think that if I go to TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS and
then delete the cookies, temporary internet files, and
then clear the history they would be gone. Yet when I go
to the address bar again the pages are still there. If
anything they are INCREASING in number everytime I use my
labtop. Its gotten to the point where I have almost 100
pages on my Microsoft Internet Explorer that I want to get
ride of. My question is does anybody know some way I can
find and erase these links? I have tried going into
Windows Explorer and erase them but it does not work even
though the objects are there. Can anybody at all help me
out? I'm sure I am asking something real simple and I am
too much of a computer illiterate to know what to do.

Sincerely,
Jonathan

I think that sounds like what I was looking for. Hope it
works. Thanks a million.

I just tried your suggestion and it did not remove the
links. They are still there. Any other ideas you might
have that could possibly help me out?

Hi,

Start REGEDIT and browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\TypedURLs

You can delete the entries in the right pane that you want to get rid of.
