Problem Downloading Update KB913446

I am recieving a Failed! error when trying to download/install the following
update from Microsoft Update:

Security Update for Windows XP (KB913446)

I have tried clearing my browser cache, but this did not seem to make any
difference. I have installed all other updates, so I do not know of anything
that I need to install before installing this update, and I keep my
VirusScan software up-to-date. Is there somewhere else I can go to manually
install the update? Could something else be causing the problem? Thanks.
 
There are some 6 or more posts already before you came on line.
All have the solution clearly documented

I would hardly call, having to go download and install another browser just
to be able to download the KB913446 update as "the fix".

Can't wait to find out what the geniuses at MS have to say about this. I
even did a repair on my operating system, thinking that something was wrong
with it. Turns out, it's not my computer, it's the update. The update is a
piece of garbage.

There was nothing wrong with the update. It was the delivery method
that wasn't working properly, and has been fixed. Doing a repair
install because a newly released update won't install is a bit extreme.
 
hi patti,
I´m having problems with not only with the above update, wich I try to
download from the site that you mentioned in some emails, and some other 82
updates because the code error says that the language that I´m using its
different fron the one of my OS.
Can you help me ...
