Hi
I am having a problem downloading service pack 1 express
from the MS update site.

I just upgraded from XP home to XP Pro.

I am able to download all updates except SP1express.

When I download SP1express the download acts like it is
downloading properly, but it hangs when installion is
complete.

I then tried to download in Clean Boot, again it hangs.

I need this upgrade because I am unable to run MSOFFICE
2003 without it. I receive this error message:
The application failed to initialize properly
(0cx0150002). Click OK to terminate the application.

I also, tried to do a "repair" in control panel -
add/remove - MSOFFICE programs - again, it says it needs
SP1Express to correct it.

Help, I have no idea what to do. I have tried everything
that I can think of.

Thanks,
Susan

Visit http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp1/default.mspx
and select "Network Installation", download SP1a to a new folder, then install it
after performing a "clean boot".
