I just got a new dell system, I can connect online, but I cannot detect other
computers in my network, other computers were able to detect this Dell system
without restarting, however, I cannot connect to other, what is the problem?

Did you run network setup wizard? Also how your computers are connected?
You have to run network setup wizard in order to join a computer to the
network.

There are several possible causes for your problem. See my troubleshooting
guide for details.

Thanks for the help, I did try to run network setup wizard, but it requested
me to make a setup backup disk, insert setup disk, insert window XP CD, or
don't need to run the wizard. I don't have a floppy drive nor a CD-R drive,
therefore, I couldnt make a backup disk, I dont have the window XP CD either,
I believe I might have to order a backup window XP cd from DELL. Unless there
is any other way of getting through that, please let me know if anyone knows,
it would be thankful. thanks

It requests you to make a setup backup disk, purely at your own preference,
simply to enable you to make the appropriate settings on any computers not
running Windows XP. You can make any appropriate settings on any other
computer, in 5 minutes or less / computer.

Please don't abort the Network Setup Wizard simply because it requests you to
make a setup backup disk.
