is not even in C:\ Drive it is in a different hard drive all together!
What can I do? I have even used F8 to boot into safe mode and tried to
delete the folder with no luck.

Kelly's site, linked below. Click on "F", and scroll down to...

Hello everyone,

For some reason, I can NOT delete a folder that I have made. It is read only. Windows will not let me delete it; I have right clicked on it, selected properties and unchecked read-only, and when I go to delete it I get an error saying I can NOT delete the folder! What gives? This file is not even in C:\ Drive it is in a different hard drive all together! What can I do? I have even used F8 to boot into safe mode and tried to delete the folder with no luck.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Take care,

Larry

I have some undeletable folders for ages & have looked at Kelly's remedy,
but unfortunately haven't been able to work out from that what commands to
use - & how, pity she didn't give more specific instructions as exactly how
to do the whole sequence.
Any detailed advice would be much appreciated.

OK, tried it on the first folder - "successful", it said, tried it on the
other undeletable folder "failed"!
On checking after reboot - no change, they're all still there.

Do you mean when I normally try to delete it, or when I used that Prog.?
If it's the second case, it's exactly as stated in my reply.

A normal or Safe-mode attempt gives me on one -
"Cannot delete (folder) OVERLAN6J2,: access is denied. Make sure the disk is
not full or write protected .and the file is not currently in use" (which
contains a 0B size file called "search[1].)
The other is a Windows Media Audio/Video file of 1,885 KB (which cannot be
opened or viewed in preview) & gives the same message.
The last one was sent to me in an email which played fine until I relocated
the file to My Docs.
