Problem calling Java web service

Hi

I have a web service hosted on Apache Axis that returns a string. When I
call it using the .Net Compact Framework, the code returns with error
ManagedWebException "Did not find end of entity mark"

The same code (calling the Axis web service) works if run from a .Net client

Any ideas?
