After a recent windows update, the shortcut key on my keyboard which used to
open Outlook Express, now opens up Outlook. How do I change it back to how it
was before, as I dont use Outlook at all.

I saw some discussion on this in either in this newsgroup or possibly on
a mailing list. Apparently this is a known issue and there is a fix.
Since I don't use either Outlook or OE I didn't pay attention to the
answer so I'm sorry that I can't give you the fix immediately. Look in
the Outlook newsgroup and I'm sure you'll find it. Here's the general
newsgroup:

microsoft.public.outlook.general

And here's a list of all of the MS newsgroups:

go to control panel>internet options>programs ...check to see which default
email program is set

Cheers Haggis.

You got it spot on. The update had set Outlook as default email program.
Changed it back to Outlook Express.

Thank you very much.

CraigM250. :-)

All sorted now. Update had set Outlook as default email program. Changed it
back to Outlook Express.

Dont let your pc auto load updates. Only do updates for what you really
need.
