Hey everyone. My computer was running like a dog so i eventually decided to
format. I tried booting from the xp disk and it wudnt work and everything and
i tried all the other stuff then finally took it out and there was a huge
crack right through the cd. Luckily i had another xp disk there from my old
computer but the format didnt go well. My first problem was installing the
sound card the drive just wouldnt read the disc. Again luckily i had my old
computers sound card driver lol and i used that but i duno wat thats done. Is
it the disk or the drive do u think? it can semi read it but sorta freezes.
My next problem is that in the device manager list i have a: Universal Serial
Bus (USB) Controller which does not have drivers installed for it, and is
under the other devices section with a question mark beside it. Ive never
seen this after a format so i dno wat th heck it is. I have a 2 usb ports on
th front of my comp im guessing its that but i dont have any cd or anything
that will install this. Anyhelp on this would be much appriciated
Thanks
Ice

Youll need to install SP1 for xp first, that updates the usb drivers, then in
device mgr.,locate the usb controller,R.click, select, update drivers.
