printing word documents

I seem to have gremlins, on occasion, when trying to print a word document
generated within a database software program or from an actual word document.
Either the bottom one or two lines of text disappear...it is not a margin
problem as i can pull the text up the page, and it still won't print...then
after messing around with the loation of the cursore, or printing via print
preview (or not) the document will then print correctly. Also sometimes after
print has been selected, all of the text bunches up on top of itself down the
left margin and prints that way...its doing my head in (operating in vista
and have HP photomart printer)

According to contributor Bob Buckland: "It's a bug that somehow seems to
have Word misreading temporary files related to the printer currently in
use. You can usually 'unscramble' the display from File=>Print and switch
to the printer properties or to another printer then your normal one, or
close Word and delete all files found on Start=>Search and looking for
~$*.*;*.tmp as the name string then restarting Word." See also
