I work from my car with my laptop which is on the internet. Is there any way
i can print direct to my printer in the office. The office pc is always on
and the printer is on the net work.

Thanks for you help

From "Printing to your local printer from a remote session" is included
within the "Windows XP Professional Product Documentation". This seems to
need you to remotely control the Office PC. I used to do a similar thing
some time back, using PC Anywhere [via dial up] to remotely control an
office PC and then print.

I don't know about printing.....but if your printer is also a fax machine,
could you fax it from your laptop? Or simply send documents to the fax if
you have fax s/ware installed/supported modem etc.

Not sure what kind of quality prints you'd get, other than that of
fax-quality. However if your printer is one of those multifunction
printers/copiers/faxes (such as those by Fuji-Xerox the
corporate-high-copy-volume sort not the home-office models).

not sure what else to suggest.

Google and/or search the Microsoft KB for "Internet Printing Protocol."
Depending on how your office network is setup, you probably will
have to forward appropriate ports and/or use a dynamic DNS service so
that you can get the IP address of the printer or the PC to which it's
connected.
