Printing Styles Used in a Document

I am formatting a large policy manual at my job that many people have worked
on so there is not much consistency in the styles/formatting. I have been
asked to make it consistent and I am wondering if there is a feature in Word
2003 where I can print all the styles that have been used in the document so
that I know where to begin fixing the formatting errors? I have used the
"reveal formatting" tool and I see all the styles that have been applied to
this document. Is there a way to print this tool bar page? Any advice would
be a great help!
Thanks,

You might want to try this:

1. Click "Tools", "Options".
2. Click the "View" TAB and set the "Style area width" (towards the bottom)
to 1 inch. Click "OK" to accept.
3. Click the "View" menu and click "Normal". You will now a pane to the
left with the styles listed across from each paragraph.

There is a way to print the styles in the document, but as it doesn't give a
visual of the style, just its settings, it's not much help. File > Print >
Print What > Styles.

Unfortunately, you can't print the style area from Normal layout view - if
Microsoft could consider that for future updates it would be wonderful
though! When I needed to do just that I tried capturing screen prints once,
but that was for a short document, and I could only get half a page at a time
so it would be a nightmare for a long document!

Thank you for your assistance! I didn't know there was a way to show the
formatting this way. I learn something new every time I ask a question in
this forum so this is great. Thanks alot!

Thank you for your quick response! I really appreciate it, because I thought
there should be a way to show the styles used in a document. And you are
right, it would be more helpful if there was a visual of how the style
looked, but maybe this is something that the designers of Word will consider
when they update the product. If they did, that feature would be great!
Thanks again for you help!
