Printing Multiple Documents from Windows Explorer

While in Windows Explorer, under Windows XP, I am unable
to select and print multiple documents from any folder.

In other versions of Windows, I have been able to select
multiple documents from Windows Explorer. For each file to
be printer, the application (Word, Excel, etc.) will open,
print the document and then close.

Can anyone provide sugestions for correcting this problem?
 
I am having exactly the same problem. I can select multiple files (.doc,
..xls, .pdf, etc) and the respective program will not open them or print
them. I can however open any type of that file one at a time. I'm using
WinXP Pro, Adobe 5, Office 2003, on a fresh install of XP will all
hotfixes and updates installed. Before the re-install of XP, my old XP
install with Office XP would perform this task just fine. Anybody have
any ideas?!?!
