I am using windows 2000 sp4. I have a problem. I can access printer on
our local area network from windows, but I am unable to send printing
jobs from DOS shell and from my C language editor. Please help me out.
If I use dos editor, and then send printing job it says, waiting for
printer response. I have selected that network printer as a default in
windows.

humm getting stuff to work in dos is always a problem my question is why are
you using dos still, it's beyond obsolete.

you may want to have a look at Printfil to enable DOS printing to any
Windows printer, including "host based" (Windows only) and virtual printers.

You can find more info and a free trial to download at
http://www.printfil.com
