Printing in IE6

My problem is that IE6 (and OE6 as well) are using the wrong paper
size for printing, unless I manually reset it every time I print.
Both programs are using paper size A4 (a British size) which is longer
than 11" and therefore the footer (web address) does not print.

What I want to know is, how can I make the programs use letter size as
the default size?

I often print recipes or computer info from websites and it is a BIG
help to have the address on the sheet so that I can return to the site
for more info. if needed.

Thanks

Print driver dependant. Right click your printer and select properties. Should
be able to set paper size there somewhere.

I have done this and the printer properties show the page size as
letter. But when I try to print from either IE6 or OE6, my page
settings have changed back to A4, even though it shows "letter" when I
right click the printer icon in the taskbar and check the properties.

Hi Lorraine,

Have you checked in Control Panel > Regional and language settings >
Regional Options tab that the entries are set to U.S.?

Good luck

Yes, I have. This was one of the first things that I thought of,
because when I reinstalled, I set it to Canadian. I had both Cdn & Us
settings, so I deleted the Cdn setting.

Hi,

You might try going to Control Panel > Printers and faxes > File >
Server properties
and select the size there.

Hope this helps

Thanks Roger,

I tried that (I was setting the page size from the taskbar icon's
properties) and it seems to have worked for now. I'll see what
happens when I reboot in the morning.

Thanks again
