Printing delay on X83 that wasn't there before

I have a Lexmark X83 connected to my usb port. In the past, print jobs would always start immediately after being sent to the printer, however, now, there is a wait between sending the print job and when it begins. Sometimes the wait is up to 2 minutes or longer. I've tried switching the settings to make the printer start printing immediately vs spooling, but I get an error message stating "Printer settings could not be saved. Operation can not be completed." Although I don't believe it was ever set to that before and it would print fine. I believe some settings within the windows operating environment must have changed to affect this delay. Any ideas what settings might cause this and how to fix it?

Hello, a client of mine is having the exact same issue with his X83 o
WinXP, SP2. Were you able to find any resolution to this? I have ha
the same trouble you have had not being able to save the settings
